Recently, Toy Insider, a US consumer toy magazine, released its latest Christmas toy shopping guide this year. Not only does it thoughtfully publish four lists for different age groups: 0-2, 3-4, 5-7, and 8-plus, but it also has three comprehensive tables, There are three comprehensive feature lists: "Hot 20", "STEM 10" and "12 Hot Toys Under $20".

Each year's list is chosen by Toy Insider's experts based on the year's consumer preferences, but this year's list is decidedly more down-to-earth. Not only is there a comprehensive feature list of "12 hot toys under $20," but there's also the quality of the selection. The main ones are closely connected with real life, let children active, pay attention to sensory experience, are closely related to reality, everywhere fall into the "real" place.

Having a close connection to real life

From the functional features of the selected products, a large number of products are closely related to real life among the selected products in the three comprehensive lists. These products simulate the activities of everyday life and allow players to experience life within the game. Mattel's Barbie Dream Doll House (top left), Moose Toys' Bluey Sound and Light Play House (top right), Jumping Frog's Happy Bucket Set (bottom left), and Just Play's Disney Alice in Wonderland Doll and Magic Oven Set (bottom right). The first two games allow players to play house games with various props and sound and light effects in the big scene, while the last two games extract two specific household activities, cleaning and baking, for players to experience in detail in the game.

Then there are the advanced products. Like Jazwares' CoComelon JJ doll (below left), which allows babies to touch and treat wounds to help them overcome their fear of injuries. Hasbro's Play-Doh Kitchen ice cream truck (right below) allows players to have a small business experience, such as making ice cream, selling, cashier, summing up business experience, etc., and at the same time exercises their ability to communicate, exchange and cooperate with friends.

And BToys's ADDISON RAE Internet celebrity Music Market doll (below), provides players with gorgeous costumes, ring lighting, camera/smartphone, microphone and other live streaming stage, a live Internet celebrity addiction.

Get your child active
Nearly three years of "static" quarantine life, so that the children are "excited". So the list also offers products to get kids moving. The Jumping frog happy bucket suit mentioned above, needless to say, lets the baby learn to do housework. There is also Nintendo's Switch Sports version (below), which has 6 sports modes including football, volleyball, bowling, tennis, badminton and fencing. It can be played either single-player or online with friends and family.

Similarly, Bandai's Vital Hero game bracelet (below) allows children to wear an overhand bracelet to complete sprints, squats and other sports required by the game level, level up and fight monsters, and allow players to transfer tasks they did in the virtual world to the real world.

Just Play's Dynamic Mixer (below) is in the same vein, using body rhythms to control the mixer effect while mixing different music styles and sharing them on social media.

Focus on sensory experience
Fingertip toys face renovation, return again. This time, however, the feature is much more advanced, not just using mechanical actions to relieve inner irritability and stress, but guiding the player to pay attention to their inner feelings through richer forms. The Fashion Fingertip doll (below left) by Vovie and the fingertip Companion from Sunny Days Entertainment (below right) are similar creations. It's a combination of dolls and fingertip decompression elements.

The next two are similar to fingertip decompression bubble boards.
Buffalo Games' Pop It Pro (pictured below, left) has been reduced in size and upgraded with sound and light effects for single-player play. The TUGL Fingertip Rubik's Cube (right below), on the other hand, focuses on young children and promotes fine motor delivery through different fingertip sensations.

The most special is Hand2mind's mood picture diary (below). The inner pages provide rich activities to fill in the blank, guide children to learn to pay attention to, identify, show their inner emotions, and then learn to manage

emotions.
